Tahir Yaqub

Tahir Yaqub joined GIP in 2020 and serves as a Partner and Portfolio Company Chief Technology Officer (CTO) within the Business Improvement Team. He leads global strategy and operations across cybersecurity, IT, OT, and digital and AI transformation, driving technology-enabled value creation across GIP’s portfolio companies.

With over 25 years of international leadership experience spanning aerospace, defense, and engineering, Mr. Yaqub has held senior operational roles at Northrop Grumman and Bechtel. He specializes in modernizing complex operating environments, scaling digital platforms, and deploying AI-driven capabilities to unlock performance, improve decision-making, and enhance asset value.

He has a proven track record of strengthening cyber resilience, optimizing infrastructure, and delivering operational efficiency at scale, partnering closely with executive teams to translate technology strategy into measurable business outcomes.

Mr. Yaqub holds a BA from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Georgetown University, along with certifications in Project Management and Lean Six Sigma.
