RD Gauss

RD Gauss is a Partner and leads the Regulated Energy team in North America. He is based out of New York and joined GIP in 2019.

Prior to joining GIP, RD was a Managing Director in the Global Power and Utilities Group at Morgan Stanley where he spent 11 years providing strategic advisory and transaction execution services for clients across the broader power and utility sector including electric utilities, gas utilities, power generators and financial sponsors.

RD holds a BA in Economics and History from the University of North Carolina and MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. RD serves on the boards of Columbia Pipeline Group, Allete and the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.
