Nitin Apte

Nitin Apte is a GIP Partner and the Chief Executive Officer of Vena Group, which includes Vena Energy—GIP’s dedicated renewable energy platform in Asia-Pacific—and Vena Nexus, a digital infrastructure business. Based in Singapore, Mr. Apte joined GIP in 2018 in conjunction with its acquisition of Equis Energy and was appointed to lead the formation and growth of Vena Energy.

Under his leadership, Vena has significantly expanded its operating portfolio and development pipeline across key markets including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, India, and Southeast Asia. Vena Group also includes Vena Nexus, a digital infrastructure platform focused on AI-ready, renewably powered data centers—positioning the business at the intersection of the energy transition and digital transformation.

Mr. Apte brings over three decades of global leadership experience and plays a central role in shaping GIP’s strategy in clean energy, decarbonization, and next-generation infrastructure across Asia-Pacific.

Mr. Apte holds a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He earned a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
