Evelyn Gardiner

Evelyn Gardiner is a Managing Director in GIP’s Business Improvement Team, based in London and joined GIP in 2021.

She leads Human Capital across the portfolio companies, working with them and GIP’s investment team to assess, recruit, develop and retain talent and strengthen organisztion and culture.

Prior to joining GIP, Ms. Gardiner was the Head of HR for the Downstream of BP and was part of the Executive Team that created the leading Downstream business in the industry.  Prior to that, Ms. Gardiner was the CHRO of Kingfisher plc for five years, the third largest home improvement retail group globally. Before BP and Kingfisher, Ms. Gardiner spent 10 years at Mars Inc, in Manufacturing Operations and HR leadership.

Ms. Gardiner began her career in production manufacturing and has spent nearly thirty years in large-scale international leadership roles, with a focus on Human Capital.  She has broad and deep experience of strategic transformations at scale across multiple global industries.  She brings expertise in talent management, succession and organizational effectiveness.

Ms. Gardiner has an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University and she is a Meyler Campbell qualified coach.
