Thomas Tharakan is the Deputy General Counsel at GIP. Mr. Tharakan joined the Firm in 2020 and leads GIP’s London Legal function.
Mr. Tharakan focuses primarily on GIP’s M&A transactions and management of the legal affairs of portfolio companies throughout GIP’s ownership.
Prior to joining GIP, Mr. Tharakan worked in the Corporate Group of Latham & Watkins in London, where he worked on private equity M&A and joint ventures.
Mr. Tharakan holds an M.A. from the University of Cambridge.
